Spring has finally come, along with the time to air your wardrobe and jewellery box and pick up what is today "in". Jewellery and clothing are complementary elements so if you want to understand jewellery trends, you should take look on this year fashion. Especially during this year costume designers increasingly use jewels to accent their fashion models. The range of international trends in jewellery is rather wide. Here you can see some styles predicted by professionals for fashion 2010.

Colour

Colour represents a distinct trend in fashion and jewellery. Do you know that PANTONE announced turquoise as a colour for 2010? Turquoise tunes calming peaceful qualities of blue and encouraging aspects of green. Contemplating turquoise, you find yourself daydreaming and your dreamy associations leads you towards tropical oceans, far away from mundane worries. According to psychological researches, turquoise represents for many people escape into tropical paradise, no matter that it´s happening only in your imagination. Moreover, turquoise looks great in combination with other warm and cold tones of whole colour scheme.
2010 is a year of optimism shining with vibrant colours.

Nature

Nature is evergreen inspiration for fashion designers. What is more eyecatching than radiating variety of colours and diversity of vivid forms presented by Nature? The most popular motifs are butterflies, flowers, sea life and snakes; both in realistic and stylized forms.

New metals

Along with increasing of the jewellery offer range, jewellers also look for untraditional metals and other materials. They are pressed by rising price of gold. As a more and more unaffordable, gold is being replaced by brass, silver, wood and beads. Especially original beaded jewellery will enable you to express your unique style without charging your budget.

Hoop earrings

This design is unbeatable hit. Earrings comes in wide offer range of materials and sizes. As they are evolving, they also are moving from round to oval or other shapes, some closed, some open.

Elongated dangling earrings with glass beads or central focus are hugely popular. 2010 accents especially meaning and more sophisticated earrings matches this trend.

Wrist decorations

Bracelets and cuffs are one of the major trends. They appear in variety of shapes and sizes including stacked bangles, exotic designs, open and lacy cuffs. But what really represents the main seasonal trend are small lightweight bracelets.

"Organic" design

Not only stones, but even metals traditionally used in jewellery takes on textured looks and assymmetrical shapes.
According to International jewellery, "as an attitudes shift towards more "organic" in other spheres of life, it is not surprising that jewellery is following this trend."
